AI Credit Consumption for Candidate Responses

This article explains how AI features work with candidate responses across Hirevire's current and legacy subscription plans.

Hirevire uses two systems depending on your plan: Current plans (Essentials, Professional, Agency) include all AI features within plan pricing. Legacy plans (One Job, Startup, Growth) use AI credits that are consumed with each video or audio response.

For Current Plans: Essentials, Professional, and Agency

All AI actions are included in your plan pricing. There are no separate AI credits to track or manage—AI features like transcripts and AI reviews work automatically with your video and audio responses.

What's Included

Your plan includes unlimited AI processing for:

  • Video and audio transcripts in 90+ languages

  • AI-powered candidate reviews and matching

  • AI scorecards for evaluation

Response length does not affect AI feature availability—all AI actions are included within your plan limits.

Plan Limits

Your plan includes a set number of candidate responses per month:

  • Essentials: 25 responses per month (or 300 annually)

  • Professional: 100 responses per month (or 1,200 annually)

  • Agency: 1,000 responses per month (or 12,000 annually)

All AI features work within these response limits without additional costs. If you need more responses, you can upgrade your plan or contact support for custom Enterprise options.

For Legacy Plans: One Job, Startup, and Growth

If you're on a legacy plan, each video or audio response submitted by a candidate consumes exactly 1 AI credit. This simple, flat-rate model applies regardless of the response length, quality, or content.

Credit Consumption Examples

  • Candidate submits 1 video response = 1 credit consumed

  • Candidate submits 1 audio response = 1 credit consumed

  • Candidate submits 3 video responses = 3 credits consumed

  • 30-second video = same as 5-minute video = 1 credit

What Triggers Credit Consumption

Credits are consumed when:

  • A candidate successfully submits a video or audio response

  • The response is processed by AI for transcription and analysis

Credits are not consumed when:

  • Candidates start but don't complete a response

  • Candidates submit text-only responses

  • You view or review submitted responses

Credit Allocations for Legacy Plans

  • One Job: 50 AI credits per month

  • Startup: 100 AI credits per month

  • Growth: 100 AI credits per month

Credits reset monthly on your billing date. You can purchase additional credits as add-ons if needed—these never expire.

Managing Your Credits

Monitor your credit usage through your account management dashboard. If you're approaching your credit limit, consider:

  • Upgrading your plan for more credits

  • Purchasing additional AI credit add-ons

  • Reducing the number of video/audio questions

  • Using text-based questions as alternatives

How AI Processing Works

AI features automatically process:

  • Video and audio responses when submitted by candidates

  • Transcript generation for all video and audio content

  • AI reviews when you trigger them

Text-only responses and file uploads do not use AI features and have no processing requirements.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know which system I'm on?

Check your account billing page. If you see "Essentials," "Professional," or "Agency," you're on a current plan with included AI. If you see "One Job," "Startup," or "Growth," you're on a legacy plan using AI credits.

Do re-submitted responses consume additional credits or count toward limits?

Yes, if a candidate re-submits a video or audio response, it will consume an additional credit (legacy plans) or count as an additional response (current plans).

What happens if I run out of credits or reach my response limit?

Legacy plans: AI reviews will be unavailable until your credit balance is positive. You can purchase additional credits or wait for your monthly reset.

Current plans: When you reach your plan's response limit, you'll need to upgrade to a higher tier or wait until your next billing cycle.
